The university of Carthage, is a Tunisian training and research university, with the status of public administrative institution, under the authority of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research. It currently has 33 higher education institutions and research. Among its institutions, the Polytechnical School of Tunisia, an institution of excellence in leading, and the oldest school of engineering education in the country, the Agronomic National Institut in Tunisia (INAT), (founded in October 1898). The institutions of the University of Carthage provide training and research in a range of scientific specialties varied such as Engineering, Sciences, Law, Economics and Management, Computing, Social Studies, Humanities, Languages and Arts and the Training of Educators of Children. Student enrollment at the University are in the order of 48,000 registered students for the 2011-2012 academic year, who receive continuously a training enabling them to control and to develop the scientific and technological knowledge through their creativity and their innovation capacity. The university is well integrated into its socio-economic and cultural development through national and international framework agreements and partnerships that promote fruitful exchanges and fruitful cooperation.
